What is IAQ?
Indoor air quality (IAQ) refers to the quality of air within buildings and structures, particularly as it relates to the health and comfort of the occupants. IAQ is made up of various factors that influence the composition of indoor air and its potential effects on occupant's well-being.
Key factors that contribute to IAQ are:
Temperature and humidity
Airborne contaminants, such as particulate matter (PM) 2.5 and total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs)
Gases, such as radon and carbon dioxide (CO2)
How is the IAQ score determined?
The IAQ score in Abound is determined based on the thresholds set by the WELL Building Standard. The following components make up the IAQ score:
Space | Temperature | Humidity | PM2.5 | TVOC | CO2 | Radon |
1st floor and below | ✔ | ✔ | ✔ | ✔ | ✔ | ✔ |
2nd floor and up | ✔ | ✔ | ✔ | ✔ | ✔ |

You can find the IAQ score for your spaces on your dashboard in Abound.
