Abound for Carrier Connect Thermostats (Beta)

What is Carrier Connect Thermostats and the Key features of it

Updated over 3 months ago

Abound for Carrier Connect thermostats provides portfolio-wide visibility into HVAC operations of thermostat-managed sites. It is designed to monitor and manage various systems, including packaged RTU, hydronic fan coil, dual fan coil (furnace and heat pumps), water source heat pumps, AC split system, and simple AHU. By providing comprehensive device details, performance tracking, and integration with Abound platform, users can monitor RTU operations, optimize maintenance schedules, and manage energy consumption across multiple sites.

The Abound platform connects to WiFi-enabled thermostats, enabling facility managers to monitor HVAC operations remotely and optimize maintenance across their building portfolio. From a single dashboard, users can view temperature setpoints, performance metrics, issue alerts, device status, and other data points, along with interactive visuals of facility maps.

Key Features:

  • Unit Portfolio Monitoring: Real-time monitoring of HVAC equipment health and performance across multiple units within a portfolio.

    • Centralized dashboard for all units.

    • Detailed performance data for each Carrier Connect Stat-enabled HVAC unit.

    • Alerts and notifications for maintenance or irregular performance.

    • Access to historical performance trends and data visualization.

  • Setpoint Monitoring: Continuous tracking and management of temperature setpoints, ensuring HVAC systems maintain optimal conditions.

    • Real-time display of current temperature setpoints.

    • Alerts when setpoints deviate from desired ranges.

  • Floorplan Visualization with Color Overlay: Interactive visual mapping of facilities, showing unit status using color-coded overlays.

    • Custom floorplan integration to visualize HVAC unit placement and status.

    • Color-coded overlays indicating equipment conditions (e.g., green for optimal, yellow for caution, red for issues).

    • Drill-down feature for detailed data on individual units.

    • Map-based temperature zone visualization for large buildings or campuses.

  • Device Monitoring: View real-time status and key performance metrics (mode, status, fan, humidification, zone temperature, CO2 levels, and more).

  • Performance History: Access historical charts for temperature, relative humidity, CO2 levels, HVAC set points, and system statuses.

  • Alerts and Notifications: Receives active alerts based on WELL Building Standards and create custom alerts based on asset performance or operational parameters.

  • Building Integration: Seamlessly integrates with Abound and building floor plans for enhanced asset management and operational visibility.

  • User-Friendly Interface: Navigate through device details, historical data, and performance metrics with ease.

  • Cloud-Based Data: Access data remotely, ensuring that users can monitor and control devices from any location.
